WNO to IOS
Welsh tenor Trystan Llŷr Griffiths will join the International Opera Studio in Zurich in September where his roles will include Beppe in Pagliacci. The National Opera Studio graduate made his operatic debut last year performing the role of Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte for Scottish Opera's small scale autumn tour. He subsequently understudied the role of Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore for Opera North. This season Trystan will make his company and role début for Welsh National Opera as Beppe in I Pagliacci.

Scottish Opera's Emerging Artist
After completing his studies on the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's prestigious opera course, Welsh tenor Elgan Llŷr Thomas will join Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist where his roles will include Nemorino in their small scale tour of L'elisir d'amore. Elgan recently won the prestigious Stuart Burrows International Voice Award, the Kerry-Keane Prize and the Audience Prize at the 2015 Les Azuriales Opera Young Artists programme in Nice. This summer Elgan will understudy the role of Lensky in Eugene Onegin for Garsington Opera.

IOS to ENO
Icelandic bass-baritone Andri Björn Róbertsson will be joining English National Opera's celebrated Harewood Artists next season and will make his début with the company in the autumn. Last summer Andri completed a year as a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich, where his many roles included Sprecher in the main house production of Die Zauberflöte.  He returned to Zurich Opera this season as a guest artist to perform Purcell's King Arthur and to reprise his role as Sprecher in Die Zauberflöte.
